Please contact KMS or Your Advisor if you identify an error in the information associated with your accounts, or if you have questions concerning the use and maintenance of your confidential information.
KMS provides private, secure communications. Confidential account information and transactions are encrypted with Secured Socket Layering (SSL) technology. Clients must access their accounts using a secure browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 10 or higher.) “Cookie” technology ensures your account’s confidentiality and security while facilitating site navigation and the creation and recall of customized information such as model portfolios and quote tracks.
A cookie is a temporary security identifier assigned to your browser and written to your hard drive when you log in. Like a visitor pass, it lets you move from page to page within password protected areas of a site without having to re-enter your user name and password for each page. The cookie is valid for 30 minutes if you stay on the site and is deleted immediately after you log off or close your browser. Generally it is safe to allow cookies. Most browsers let you disable cookies, but we encourage you to make an exception to allow www.KMS.com to create and use a cookie file.
KMS has developed and maintains a Business Continuity Plan (available on request) outlining how we intend to respond to such Significant Business Disruptions as natural disasters, technology failure, or terrorist activity. To the extent a disaster affects KMS Home Office operations, you can generally expect continued access to your account via the company holding your investments (mutual funds, insurance company, clearing firm, etc.). In case of a significant business disruption your first point of contact for information should be Your Advisor. As feasible, updates will be posted at www.KMS.com.
