Erinn Ford is a 30-year veteran of the financial advice industry. She is dedicated to aligning the strategies, solutions, and tools that financial advisors need to help clients reach their goals. Erinn has helped to launch multiple next-generation advisor mentoring programs, as well as scholarship and hiring campaigns that support the career development of women and minorities across the financial advice profession. This includes the Erinn Ford Leadership Scholarship to benefit female undergraduates at the University of Washington. Erinn is the recipient of numerous awards and accolades, including being named one of the “Ten to Watch” on a list of industry leaders published annually by WealthManagement magazine. Erinn holds Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 securities licenses.
Casey W. Dougherty
Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Legal Officer
Casey started his KMS career in 2000 after working as a registered representative for Woodbury Financial. Prior to becoming chief compliance officer and chief legal officer at KMS, his duties at the firm have included processing client information, digitizing forms, and overseeing the Insurance team. Casey earned his undergraduate degree as well as his JD and MBA from the University of Washington. He also holds several certificates in computer programming. He holds Series 6, 7, 24, 63 and 66 securities licenses.
Chief Financial Officer
Jeff has more than 20 years of experience in the financial advice industry and nearly 30 years of experience in finance and accounting operations. He joined KMS in 2013. In addition to his finance and accounting oversight responsibilities as CFO, Jeff offers broad management, internal control, and strategic advice to his executive peers. He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from Washington State University and holds Series 7, 27, and 66 securities licenses.
Eric has been with KMS for more than 30 years and served as the firm’s CEO prior to Erinn Ford. He has far reaching managerial experience and expertise with the independent financial advice space, and a thorough knowledge of KMS operations. At KMS, Eric also has served previously as president, COO and CCO. In addition to these roles, his legal and accounting background make him a valuable resource for the firm. Eric holds Series 4, 7, 24, 53, 63, and 66 securities licenses.
Executive Vice President of Operations
Aileen joined KMS in 1991 and helped develop many of the procedures and processes the firm’s investment professionals use to serve their clients. She oversees the organization’s Securities Operations, Advisory Operations, Help Desk, Licensing & Registration, and Transition Coordination departments. Aileen has served on both the Pershing Technology Advisory Board and the Operations & Technology Council of the Financial Services Institute. She earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Puget Sound and holds Series 4, 7, 24, 53, 63 and 66 securities licenses.
Vice President of Strategic Growth
Deanna has been with KMS since 2010. She has nearly three decades of industry experience spanning compliance, operations, advisory services, and insurance and brokerage products. Deanna has applied a consultative approach to business growth and development for advisors in the wirehouse, institutional, and independent advisory and broker-dealer channels. In her current role, Deanna focuses on the extensive suite of products and services available to KMS investment professionals. Deanna holds Series 7, 24, 51, 63, and 65 securities licenses.
Vice President of Advisor Experience
Melissa joined KMS Financial Services in 2010 and worked in multiple roles throughout her tenure, including Operations, Advisory, ERISA, and other Compliance initiatives. She currently supports the firm-wide implementation of new regulations and technology integrations, with a focus on advisor experience and service. Melissa earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and a minor in organizational communications from Idaho State University. She holds her Series 7, 66, and 24 securities licenses and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) certificate.
Vice President of Information Systems
Sonja joined KMS in 2012, bringing a holistic approach to help drive efficiency to KMS operations by leveraging data and software. She has developed experience creating client-centric solutions for many aspects of financial services, including insurance, mergers and acquisitions, private placements, and retail banking. Sonja earned an MBA from University of California – Davis and a BS in Wildlife Science from Oregon State University. She holds Series 7, 24, and 66 securities licenses.
